What you can trade.
Food pitch
You cook in an approved commercial kitchen, and the field is where you hold, assemble and serve. One certified food handler on the pitch every operating hour; the public-health application for your pitch is yours to file.
Packaged food
Sealed, shelf-stable goods: spice blends, preserves, coffee, honey, sweets. A lighter kitchen requirement, still a conversation with Ottawa Public Health.
The craft row
Embroidery, weaving, ceramics, jewellery, instruments. The jury asks one question of every application, and resale is refused.
What we run ourselves
Bottled water is one festival line at one price across the field. The first edition serves no alcohol.
Papers before pitches.
Two of them take weeks to come back, so start early.

Certificate of insurance
Commercial general liability with the City of Ottawa named as additional insured. The amount publishes with the terms.
Public-health approval
For any food: your Ottawa Public Health filing for a special event.
A certified food handler
On the pitch for every operating hour.
Your business details
Legal name, HST number where you have one, and a contact reachable over the weekend.
Terms and the rate.
Community pavilions pay no pitch fee and keep every dollar over their own counter. That is a different arrangement from a vendor's, and the site says so out loud.
Questions.
When can I apply?
Join the waiting list now. The terms, the rate and the application reach the list first.
I have no insurance. Is that the end of it?
No. Event liability cover for a weekend is a standard product; the office can point you to it.
Can I bring a generator?
Plan on the festival's metered power; any exception is agreed in writing with the site plan.
Do I have to be from one of the communities?
No. Vendors come from anywhere; community pavilions are run by community organisations.
