About · the board

Seatsstill open.

A majority of the board lives in the Ottawa region, and the point of the first year is to fill those seats from the communities this festival is for.

The rules the board is built to.

  1. An Ontario not-for-profit

Under the Ontario Not-for-Profit Corporations Act, with its office inside the city of Ottawa.

  2. A majority from the Ottawa region

Every funder that matters here asks for it.

  3. At most a third employees

It keeps the board answerable to the purpose rather than to the payroll.

  4. Terms of four years at most

A seat comes up for renewal rather than being held for life.

The September weekend is set with the permits. The mailing list hears it the same day, before anybody else.

What you want to hear about (required) Canadian anti-spam law asks for consent per mailing type, so we ask per type. One click unsubscribes, any time.
