This isAlgonquin land.

Ottawa stands on unceded Algonquin Anishinaabe territory. The Algonquin Anishinaabe have lived in the Ottawa River watershed for thousands of years.

Talks are under way.

Capital Cultures is in talks with Algonquin communities about how a festival on this land should begin, and whether and how they wish to take part. Nothing on this page speaks for any Algonquin community, and no Algonquin organisation is named as a partner.

What the festival says about the land, on the stage and in print, is agreed with the host nation first.

The September weekend is set with the permits. The mailing list hears it the same day, before anybody else.

What you want to hear about (required) Canadian anti-spam law asks for consent per mailing type, so we ask per type. One click unsubscribes, any time.
