What we keep,and why.
In force from 28 September 2026. Questions and requests go to hello@capitalcultures.com.
Analytics: only if you say yes.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which pages and forms work. It runs only after you press “Accept” in the bar at the bottom of the page. Until then no analytics script is loaded and nothing is counted.
When you accept, Google Analytics sets its own cookies and receives your approximate location, device and the pages you visit. We turned off advertising features: no ad personalisation, no ad data. We see aggregated reports, never your identity. When a form is sent successfully, an event records that it was sent and which form it was. The text of the form stays out of Google Analytics.
You can change your mind at any time: reopen the choice.
What you send us.
Forms
What you type into a form is stored in our own database, on a server we rent in the Netherlands, and read by the festival office. We use it to answer that form and for nothing else.
Notifications
When a form arrives, its contents go to the organisers by email, sent through our mail provider's server in Ukraine to inboxes hosted by Google (Gmail), and as a message to the organisers' private Telegram chat.
Mailing lists
Only the lists you tick, each ticked separately, as Canada's anti-spam law asks. We keep the wording you agreed to and the date. One click unsubscribes.
What we never ask for
Date of birth, home address, citizenship. A field like that is dropped on arrival even if somebody sends it.
Who handles it, and where
This site is hosted by Vercel (United States), which carries each form to our database. The database is in the Netherlands, the mail server in Ukraine, the inboxes with Google in the United States, and the chat with Telegram. Each of them is outside Quebec and outside Canada, and each receives only what it needs to do its part.
How long
Application records for as long as the festival needs them to answer and plan, and mailing-list consent until you unsubscribe.
Your rights.
Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, a correction, or deletion, by writing to hello@capitalcultures.com. A person answers every application and every message within ten working days. Canadian privacy law, including Quebec's Law 25 for residents of Quebec, applies to how we handle it.
The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the festival's organiser, reachable at the same address. A privacy incident that could cause you serious harm is reported to you and to the regulator.
